PHOTOGRAPHER IN ROME

A photographer has the knowledge and skills to create amazing shots, but you should understand that a lot depends on you too. How you behave in front of the camera, how much you try, your mood and how you interact with the photographer defines the quality of the session. If you are not emotional in the frame, alive emotional photos simply cannot happen.

The most important thing in photography is light. To get quality photos you need to choose the right time. There are only two time slots a day for great shots: the morning at sunrise, and the evening, an hour or two before sunset. Choosing the morning, be ready to meet at 6–7 am depending on the season — mornings give the coolest shots, and it is the only time when Rome streets are not so crowded. In the evening, near the main landmarks (Pantheon, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain) there are always hundreds of people. So I strongly recommend the morning.

A very important point — do not be late for the shoot. There is a certain time window for a good session, and the more you are late, the less time we have for quality shooting. Besides, Rome has millions of tourists who come out onto the streets quite early.

Before the shoot you should decide what you expect from a photo session in Rome. For example, more architecture, or more portraits, or maybe more romance, or a bit of everything. The better you describe your preferences, the more the result will match your expectations. If you have ideas or references, show them to me and together we will bring your vision to life.

An important part of your session is the look. You can dress however you like, but it is better if it is something stylish and interesting. The color of your clothes plays a huge role too. Rome is a rather pastel city, and similar colors fit its architecture perfectly. White, black and grey also work great. Follow the rule: the fewer colors in the outfit, the better. For a couple session, the more harmoniously you coordinate colors, the more beautiful the shots.

If you have a couple session, for example with your husband or boyfriend, please discuss everything with him in advance. Sometimes it turns out at the shoot that the guy is not really interested. In that case, do not expect alive photos. If your partner does not like being photographed, do not force him — I recommend booking a solo session for yourself instead.
